Joe Arpaio has offered to take Paris Hilton

On Monday America's toughest sheriff made headlines when he offered to house Paris Hilton in the heat of the Arizona desert and she would be doing manual labor on chain gangs if she were to volunteer for such duty. Right now 'tent city' houses about 300 female inmates. Temperatures soar over 110 degrees in Central Arizona in the summer.
The blonde socialite would be very uncomfortable, but she would be housed with others that are awaiting trial or are convicted of the same types of crimes.
But alas it looks as if Paris Hilton will get a pass. According to local officials from Phoenix, Sheriff Joe has been turned down. That has alos been confirmed by the sheriff's office for Los Angeles County, where Hilton is sentenced to serve her term, as they now say that they had to decline the offer.

He's the sheriff that is famous for running the notoriously strict prison (
see here). He's reduced meals down to 15 cents a day, and has banned coffee, smoking, porn, weight-lifting equiptment, premium TV channels (TV is required by law so left in the bare minimum, educational channels), and also only shows G-rated movies. He also makes criminals wear pink and has re-instated chain gangs.
Shame, would be great if his offer was taken up
