Angry Demon steal your money

Cancelled my demon subscription in January as I switched provider but demon still took 19.99 out of my account for Feb, Mrch, Aprl and May. When I phoned them to query this I was told I will get a refund for about £53 which isn’t right so I questioned this where the person in the India call centre got very rude and basically accused me of lying, saying I only cancelled my account in mid March. I don’t recommend Demon as they will steal your money and the customer service is terrible.

Re: Demon steal your money

1. to CF

2. Sorry you've had a rough time of it with Demon.

3. I would hesitate slightly though when it comes to your choice of words, and suggest that maybe they need rethinking slightly. To say that someone has 'stolen' something implies that they deliberately deprived you of it, with no intention to return it to you, and with the knowledge that they were not owed it.

From Demon's point of view they are owed the money. From yours they are not owed the money. It's probably all just a misunderstanding that can and will get sorted out. But, as with all things of this nature, it will need all parties involved to remain calm and state their cases objectively. Jumping up and down will only accomplish so much, I would suggest a calmer approach may be called for.

Good luck
