Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
Unbelievable,
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...td/6621789.stm
He comes straight from the Peter Risdale school of no shame, incidentally, did anyone hear about Risdale 'thrusting' a glass of champagne into Hull chairman Adam Pearson's hand, to celebrate the relegation of Leeds, despite the fact I hate Leeds it made me feel a little queasy, did he have no affection for the club?

I am not so sure about that, they are on the brink imo, they have no assets to cover their debts, no ground, no training ground and no players that are worth anything, those that are worth a few quid can be picked up for peanuts now they are in administration anyway, the only thing keeping them going is the clubs history and it's fans and as I said earlier I hate Leeds FC but I still wouldn't want to see them go under

Amazing for a club who were league champions 15 years ago.

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
i think with no assets the company gets wound up and then Ken Bates can buy it for a pound
they sold the ground and training ground to someone think it might be property can't remember now but it's not them

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
In order to come out of administration they must settle all football related debts afaik. So it isn't a complete get of jail free card.

Bates has formed a different company though Julian, so maybe settling all debts might not be the case.
Had it been the same company, then I am sure that all creditors get together for a meeting with the administrators, then are offered say 30p in the pound, if all agree then the "old" Leeds United continue in business.
I stand to be corrected though.

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
very poor performance and what VDS did after the pen is why i don't like him as a keeper.. they had loads of players in our box and he was just going to do a week punch straight to them.. not get the ball off the pitch, in his hands, or up the field but a weak punch to the city players.. he got away with it but again it was poor keeping

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
Looks like Brizzle are up, just hope we avoid the team who put 7 past us. I'd like either Yeovil or Swansea and at times, we've been "set to face" both.
As for W Ham... lol

Swansea 3-5 Blackpool with 4 for Andy Morrell, sounds good - and Showboat Scouse missed a penalty as well.

I'd thought that you would somehow moan about VDS...
