Wheyhay! Nae luck all you Mink Who "fans", the real red machine will just have to represent the premiership instead.
Your not really Champions league final quality anyway.
Mon the pool!

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
Very disappointing. Utd just weren't at the races. Milan wanted it more and were by far the better team.
Hope there will be no hang ups on Saturday.

I blame global warming, did you see the weather, we have got used to playing in warm sunshine,
Poor performance but credit to AC Milan excellent display from them.

That shows we've had a poor season in the league. We're still in the CL final though. Again.

When did you last have a good season? Tell me when you won it last where did you finish?
Its always an advantage when you can "throw" league game's to rest you players before a big game.
Even Rick Parry admits he'd rather Liverpool win the Premiership than the Champions league.

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
how ironic that this years champions league final will be contested by anything but champions (and not for the first time).
AC Milan shouldnt have even been in the competition to start with, due to all the match fixing shennanigans, and as for liverpool, when was the last time they were league chanmions? 19 bloody 90.
the sooner we get back to only league winners entering this competition the sooner we'll see a more exciting premiership race involving more than 2 clubs in england!

AC Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti was "ecstatic" after Milan's comprehensive victory.
"It was an evening of dreams," he said. "To play the way we did in the first half is a dream for a coach - it was perfect football. "The final will be a fascinating challenge - Liverpool are not as good as Manchester United but they are harder physically."
|
But hey........ you made it to the final. Good Luck !

That the Champions league, being the biggest league in Europe, has been Liverpool's focus all season and Man Who and Chetski have been left the scraps.

HAHAHAHA
Focus? Scraps?
HAHAHAHA
If the premiership is the scraps then why does Rick Parry, you do know who he is don't you, say that the premiership is the big prize for Liverpool?

It's natural that England's most successful club would be disappointed in not having won the top domestic trophy for so long however recent consistent European success is a more than adequate substitute

I would agree.
And what would a team rather win - a domestic league or the Champions League?
The Champions League is, IMO, the biggest prize in football outside the World Cup.

I quite agree, however they won't kill the cash cow, look at the out cry when Platini muted 'only' allowing the top 3 to qualify

Not according to Parry..
Quote:
Parry said: "For us, the big prize is the Premier League, we've made no secret of that.
"Every one of us wants to be a Premier League contender. We're not quite there, but we'll do everything in our power to make sure we get there."

Do you really think any Liverpool fan wouldn't swap their season for ours?
Every Liverpool fan I know, given the option of winning the league or the european cup this season would take the league.
