yes it was a good finish, just hope he doesn't do the same next week :-)
Heinze seems to be a bit of a liability at centre half and poor defending cost us for both goals
VDS did make a good save in the match and had very little to do for most of the match
roll on the weekend.. hope we get a good result then too
i'm looking to download last nights and the 7-1 anyone know anywhere good to get these from ?

so... Milan only need a 1-0 at home to go through. But then, so did Roma and we know what happened then.

I wonder how many more genuine supporters will be priced out next season. Football will be supported by hooray henrys soon.

14% is quite a hike, but to be expected I suppose due to our greedy American owners, no doubt other foreign owed premiership clubs will follow suit.

We need these super rich owners so clubs can compete though

the 5M is still less than they would have lost had they been docked points and went down

They all have to abide by the Football league's rules though, so you can't really compare them

true i didn't think about that when I wrote it
I don't want them to go down and would rather have them in the prem league but you can see how some clubs lower down will feel it's one rule for the rich and another for the poor

Your probably right, however did you notice that they have cancelled Tevez's registration as well, I don't think we'll be able to resign him in time for the Wigan game

didn't notice that and that will hit you hard.. what is strange with this is that JM has gone to liverpool and they have no problems if WHu didn't own him that how could he sign for Liverpool ? isn't that how the whole thing started
Tevez has been playing some good football for you and loosing him will hurt more than the 5m fine .. would rather they let you keep him all season at least then it's fairer on all the other clubs. what happens to teams that beat you now yet lost to you earlier when tevez was there ? seems better to let him stay all season and stop those aguements before they start

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
WHU are pretty much down anyway. 3 pts adrift with 3 games to go when you've not been picking up points for much of the season, I can't think it will make much difference, especially seeing they have Wigan, Bolton and Man U in their 3 games. I can't see them getting three points, let alone three more than the other sides.
I don't get why nothing's happened to Liverpool though? Didn't they just buy JM's registration from W Ham so could only buy what WHU owned? So isn't he still owned by a third party? So why are they not being fined too? Or do only the big clubs get away with it?

I remember the 1988-89 season, John Lyall's last in charge, bottom all season then won 8 out of the last 10 games, including beating a pretty good Forrest team IIRC, in fact the only teams we lost to were Everton, who were playing for cup final places and Liverpool who were going for the title, so I think I'll wait until we are actually relegated before chucking in the towel in, just like then
JM's transfer must be legit because of the amount of time the league took to verify it, besides isn't it a loan deal?

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
Phew
But the Premier League has now ruled that Tevez can see out the season.
A West Ham statement read: "The actual registration of Carlos Tevez has not been called into question and he remains a West Ham United player approved by the Premier League.
"Carlos Tevez is available for selection for the rest of the season, including Saturday's game against Wigan Athletic."
