netguard anti virus problem

have just installed netguard anti virus with my Virgin broadband. seems to work ok but it does seem to slow down my browsing a bit. however, no worries so far.....except.....i have 2 user accounts on my computer. when the first account is run up netguard loads without prompting. But after, when i switch user it tells me that netguard is running on the other account and that I will have to return to that account and switch it off manually before switching users again. Switch users, type in passwords, switch off netguard, switch user, type in password, start up netguard again.damn nuiscance!

I don't think this should happen, It didn't with my CA virus security package

Is there a fix? apart from that can I do anything to compensate for the slow 'warm up' and general slowdown of my network connection since i installed netguard?

Pick one. http://www.searchmytips.com/security.html
I work for VM (tech support) and whenever possible I urge customers to remove that resource hogging, bug ridden pile of junk from their computers.

Re: netguard anti virus problem

I second Avast.

Our network security guy recommended Avast or AVG.

Re: netguard anti virus problem

I use Netguard and had a similar problem. Loaded fine then when another user logged on I got the Security Center telling me that I had no antivirus. Try having only one Administrator account; it's important though that this person is always the first to log on. Other users then seem to be protected. That's how I solved it, but I agree that it doesn't half slow down the computer, especially at bootup.
