I fixed the problem

Had nothing to do with the line

Be released a dodgy firmware for the router. Never tested it. Its not just my connection that went crazy. I put the old firmware on and its fine now.

You didnt tell us there was new firmware, you just accused a new connection and therefore the eng caused it how can firmware affect the SNR?

Funny how as soon as i put the old firmware back on its fine and this morning more reports of the same thing are being posted on be's forum

Nope, doesn't work that way.

Although it could have been inductance in the cable or crosstalk from another circuit.

The line is a pair of wires all the way back to the exchange.
