V+ box major update
There appears to have been a major update to V+ boxes this morning between 7&8am my box was downloading and installing for about half an hour untill it rebooted..bearing in mind that I am in Teesside area...
Dont know as of yet to what updates or improvements have been made untill i have time to go through stuff on my box..I just hope VM has fixed all the on demand problems ive been having..
Any comments people.

Re: V+ box major update
but what if your box was off at the time of the update
I have two v+ boxes and the one upstairs we only switch on when we are watching so does the update happen next time it is switched on ?
I suspect that this is a common problem as more people become eco-savvy

I guess there must be a proceedure VM have for this guessing that VM would like all V+ boxes to be updated..How did you manage to get 2 V+ boxes..I was told only one per household for the mome

it will be obvious the box is updating when you switch on if it is .If it does not then god knows when you will get it

The instructions do recommend that the box is not switched off overnight...

Re: V+ box major update
Personally i would never switch off these boxes unless for a reboot..they are computers with software and being the nature of computers they will constantly need updating... lets hope they've learned from Windoze and try to get things correct first time around..otherwise we will all have boxed bloated with patches.

Re: V+ box major update
Under NTL, if my box was unplugged and we got an update, the box updated when it was turned on. I doubt that the v+ is any different.
