No. It was an arrow, from the toy archery set that Richard and Jeremy were playing with...

Re: Top Gear is back!
Exactly, Mal - they had a games arcade in the rear of the car. The paintballing was a bit of slaughter though. And the water cannon when Clarkson left his car - what a wally

What's happening with Top Gear then? Have they had enough and just completed the last ever series?

Re: Top Gear is back!
BBC have confirmed it will be back for the summer special AND a new series... And they anticipate all 3 returning...
So I don't know what Clarkson is on?

Re: Top Gear is back!
Top Gear does Comic Relief tonight!
Quote:
Top Gear meets Top of the Pops, with results every bit as chaotic as you might expect.
Given their total lack of popular music knowledge, the boys ditch the conventional Top of the Pops format and instead endeavour to answer some, more, or none of the following questions:
Can McFly respond to a Top Gear challenge to write a song on the spot without using the words 'love' or 'baby'? Will Jeremy completely sabotage Supergrass and Ade Edmondson's performance with 'rock special effects'? And what's the fastest song in the charts this week?
Also, make sure you don't miss the stunning finale performance from the Top Gear house band... and a very special guest.

Re: Top Gear is back!
Anyone else think Clarkson's quip about The Stig being mistaken for a Brazilian electrician on the tube was a bit distasteful?

Not as bad as some recent ones - it's become a bit too cruel recently and they need to lighten up. I took the joke as being at the expense of the police, who I notice later had a nice cameo showing how much of a police state London is now. Blair Out!
Mind you, the cross-London race was fun, the first bit was all around where I live. They hamstrung the poor old Stig, though, as no one sane would go that route from Kew to LCY. Ahem. You'd go District-Jubilee-DLR since the Jubilee is extremely fast while the interchange at Monument is a bloody long walk. You'd also get on at Kew Gardens directly rather than get a bus to Gunnersbury first, which gets you snarled up on the South Circular and Chiswick Roundabout. This was evidently done to keep the bike, car and PT routes close. Oh, and his Oyster would have worked fine at Gunnersbury, straight onto the platform.
/me is taken away muttering about while you're at it, James May, why not go over Hammersmith flyover and avoid the roundabout...
I still want that speedboat though.

Exactly. Very astute observations can often be found in humour. Bottom line these days is that anyone looking non-British (i.e. not white) and wearing a backpack, could potentially be shot - if they're in the wrong place at the wrong time. And all this on the day we remember those who gave their lives for our freedom, huh. Hmmm.
That purple car was a nice idea - shame it's a death trap with terrible steering
