Currently Holding For 1 Hour To Cancel My Virgin Account

I'm currently on hold to cancel my virgin media account, its been for over 1 hour. This service isn't acceptable and is the reason that i wish to cancel in the first place.

It would seem that things have gone from bad to worse over the past hour or so then. When I phoned CS earlier this evening, I was quoted a 15 minute wait which I decided was too long.

Actually, as I found out once, it can have an effect. It went as follows.

ME: Are you going to send an engineer out tomorrow to finally sort out this problem? Yes or no?

CS: No.

Me. Right, put me through to the department that deals with disconnections. (And I meant it - I'd had it up to here with ntl.)

This was followed by a lengthy silence followed by someone saying that the engineer would be there the following morning.

I think you'll find "Every Time" is a tad general

You're probably right but it should be such a rare occurrence that gasps of disbelief are heard if it ever occurs.

Re: Currently Holding For 1 Hour To Cancel My Virgin Account

Can understand your frustration as I have there before with other companies. All I can say is perhaps let VM get there act together. No doubt Sir Richard and co are having a lot of teething problems and the mo, especially this nonsense with Sky taking the channels off them is causing a lot of people to call in no doubt.

I would assume Sir Richard will soon have the same customer service in place as he does have with Virgin. I have faith in him to bounce back and wish him every success and if I was you I would request some sort of compo for you're time wasted, as it is a bit excessive. Lets give this great man a chance to shine.

If some people think calling him a great man is a bit much, then I would like to add it is my opinion and he has done an awfull lot for various charities and stil does.
