From friday I will be on the VM 4 Mb cable connection... HOwever I am still connected with the Tiscali 2mb adsl connection... which i dunno if i can cancel as it's been 8-9 months of the 12 month contract
I dnt wanna pay any more money for the poorest service i have seen in my life...

So what shall i do... I know havin the tiscali broadband wont affect the cable broadband but i wanna stop with TIscali..

Also my mums credit card which is used to pay for tiscali broadband was stolen and then she immediatley stopped it... so it dnt exist / and so money cannot be taken out

if i dnt phone them up, what will happen if they cant take the money out... will they stop the service & i will be happy & get on with things.. or will they take me to court / write me a letter syaing they want payment, even though i wanted to cancel..

I need help on this 1 guys.

According to Tiscali' terms and conditions it looks like you're liable to pay for the full 12 months.

17. Ending the broadband service
Quote:
17.2.1 by giving us at least 1 month's notice to us by telephone (please see "Contacting us"). You may not end this contract during the initial 12 months of your contract with us although you may provide us with notice by telephone of your intent to do so. You must pay all charges for the broadband service until the date on which your contract actually ends

Re: Broadband Contract

i have a similar problem, tied into a contract. i was told by Consumer Direct that i might be able to leave without paying because they are in breach of their contract. bad service, quality etc. there is an act that you should check out Goods and services Act.
