Re: laptop security

you mean wireless???
open routers browser pages to find the address goto start run type cmd hit return and type ipconfig /all hit enter and a series of data will appear.
The default gateway is the browser pages of the router. Open a web browser and type the ip address in on its own hit enter and you will be asked for a user name and password.
Taking forgranted it will be default settings try admin for both if thats wrong try admin as user name and password as password if this does not work either try user and password.
In there click wireless then security and set security enabled and select wpa protection.
Put a password in there and save. then you will have to connect to router via laptop and add the password there
