I think we should rename the site Snobs.com. Who do I call to make it happen?

Why? I also scoot over any posts that look like they are transcripts for a Vicky Pollard sketch.

Hee. In fairness, I see the point - but the original poster probably doesn't care what the company is called. He/she just wanted advice. People coming to bash newbies I find equally as annoying as poor spelling posts.

if you cancel the tv, you may well lose the discounts that you have on your account if any, as these would more than likely be agreed with the condition you are taking the tv aswel.

Is it just me or are quite a lot of peope that are full of rubbish. They are all saying that they only agreed to have cable if they provided Sky One.
We should do a vote and see how many people actually said oh yes i'll have the tv installed but only if you garauntee me that you will provide Sky one. Who asks that type of question.

Well there are a number of people who apparently burst into tears when Sky One was pulled off Virgin Media....

Re: i hate vergin media how do i quit?
Well for me personally, i couldn't care less for Sky 1. I never really watched it when i had sky.
Virgin Media is still the cheapest option IMO for what i need compared to what i had.
Besides, if people wait a couple of months, then they will find that Five, E4 or Living will show all the shows that are on Sky1.
It's the loss of a couple of channels that pretty much spend most of their time showing repeats.
Maybe VM should return the dirty play of Sky and go straight to the horses mouth and poach the top programmes, after all, that's exactly what sky did with Lost from E4.

Re: i hate vergin media how do i quit?
I was due to upgrade to a VIP package next week but on Saturday I phoned CS to see what my position was in regard to their T&Cs about any future changes in the channels offered (I did mention the loss of Sky One and Sky News and how the inevitable loss of these channels was known to VM during the rebranding celebrations) and I was so hacked off by the attitude of the person I spoke to that I cancelled the upgrade. She even asked if I was ready to cancel the TV service. That's what I call good customer relations. I am now studying what Sky has to offer though I doubt if I could be bothered with the hassle of having to paying BT for line rental. There are a couple of programmes on Sky One I like but the main reason for the proposed upgrade was the V+ box and the 2nd box in another room. I can live without them and save the £20 plus to spend on other things.

Why would you have to pay BT for Line Rental (don't you have an NTL Landline?)

Re: i hate vergin media how do i quit?
Yes but if I went to Sky I would probably go for their BB. I am sure if I had said that I wanted to cancel the TV service the next question I would have been asked is whether I wanted to cancel the phone as well.

At the end of the day a court would decide whether the contact is unfair, and whether VM have broken it, he said basically that he would take the opposite view that VM are taking.
And by the way, have you not heard of the small claims court?
The customer would pay a court fee, once the case has been heard, if it went that far vm would have to pay the customers court fee plus compensation the customer is seeking.
