It is possible to use a different router i am using speedtouch. thanks to someone who posted this on a different forum;
This is a simple URL injection method that will save end users from possible flashing damage to their router and or getting into conflict with SKY broadband,
Obtaining Login username and password for another router.
Copy and paste this to your browser, or just click it
http://192.168.0.1/setup.cgi?todo=pi...ww/netgear.cfg
a normal router Login window will pop up.
The default is
User: admin
password: sky
unless you have changed it.
To view the output, paste this into your browser (or just click it) and use Notepad/M$ word to view the netgear.cfg that is downloaded
http://192.168.0.1/netgear.cfg
Netgear Firmware is open source Linux, thus SKY would be in violation of the GNU public licence if they terminate your contract for Telnet injecting your router. Especially since their own site declares this router. as your own property.
