Netgear Dg834g Computer Crash

Can anyone help me, i installed a wireless version of netgear all was fine except very weak signal, i removed card from pc took it back to shop but did not uninstall anything, exchanged for wired type DG834G installed in same slot as wireless came out of, had trouble installing from cd, a engineer came out and did something and it worked for about a week but computer got slower and slower and in end crashed and had to use system restore to get computer running again, tried to install router again but keep getting message there are 2 network adapter cards please remove one,if i just plug above router in it works fine till i turn off pc then pc will not start hangs up at window xp screen, have to start in safe mode and disable network adapters, it does show a wireless network adapter at this time but windows will not let me uninstall it, Netgear tec support dont answer the questions i asked, any help would be great, thanks
