Do VM pay for the channels on an individual subscriber basis?

Maybe I am wrong, but I don't believe that they do. Therefore, it costs them nothing to give them to you free of charge, providing that they have the rights to them anyway.

When you offer top service, THEN you can charge top whack.

I reserve the right to get the best deal I can with whoever I deal with, so I can squander the savings I make on fripperies like food, the mortgage, heat and light, etc.

They pay by subscriber - you can believe all you want, but that is how they pay (Sky has raised the price by subscriber, but with an annual minimum of £40 million, which is why these "problems" are occurring).

I would like a free upgrade too! But I would feel bad considering I never relay watched any of the Sky channels. 10MB broadband would be nice. That wouldn't cost them anything extra, so maybe that will ease my conscience...

If you are still paying the same amount of money for an inferior service (no sky channels), then why should you not pursue an upgrade to compensate?
