Channels Dropped: Package Price Reductions

How much is the refund again?

Now that the channels go bye bye...

I've heard a lot of numbers thrown about, between £5 and £20 for the loss and 'inconvenience' of losing Sky One and so on, so I'd there a clear indication?

And the packs will have to be restructured pricewise to accommodate the loss of these 'major' channels.

Personally, I'm sad to lose Sky Sports News, but hey! BBCi is great too.

Refund!? These channels were provided free for people who had a telephone line. Yes, let's ask them to refund £0 of the £0 they charged. Clever :P

Let Branson/NTL pocket the fee that they no longer pay Sky one. After all he needs the money fund Virgin Galactica. Let's help him invest in the future

And the savings from the loss of the contract would be ploughed back into improving the content and deal for customers, Virgin Media added.

Nah - let's give our money to Rupert Murdoch; after all, after having to give his ex-wife a divorce settlement of $1.7 billion in 1999, he has to struggle and get by on his family fortune of just $8 billion, so obviously he needs the money more.

Phone up and threaten to cancel, that often works.

If you've been signed up for the XL TV package then consider the M or L packages. In my opinion, XL is 120+ channels of mostly crap.

I can't do that now, I'd have to pay the remainder of my minimum 12-month subscription upfront, and I can't afford it in one go.

Unless I CAN cancel now?

Re: Channels Dropped: Package Price Reductions

Well, I have been there for +12months, so the contract is a 1month rollover or something isn't it?

lol. Its impossible to live off $8m! I couldn't do it...

Some of us don't see that in our life time.

£12k p/y x 80 (random age) = £960,000 ($1.6m)
