Virgin Central
Yesterday and today I've been trying to access the new channels, every time I press the red button the box seems to freeze (Can't change channel or do anything other than turn it off and back on again) and was wondering if anyone else was having this problem?

Re: Virgin Central
Also, what STB is it (Pace, Samsung or V+) and has the interface (EPG) been virginified or is it still an NTL epg?

mine showed the seac 1 error yesterday but fine after the midnight switch off of sky one. conspiracy
Back to normal now strangely still jumped to virgin central content if I hit on demand after clicking to remove error. So this might be useful tip for those who do get the seac 1 error. once it shows and you click to remove it just hit on demand and it jumps you into the content as if you used the red button.

Re: Virgin Central- not working
now that sky 1 is gone its been replaced with virgin central 2. now ive been reading here on on the virgin site that virgin central is free. but i cant see anything appart from the virgin media adverts. i press the red button and i get service is temporarily unavailable. and then it ask to call up customer services or an 0845 number quoting 1059/OTE41010.
now i would like to ask does anyone know of a way of getting the virgin central. i dont want to call them because its going to be a costly call as i dont have telephone with telewest correction now VM.
ive got a pace set top box with the silver telewest remote. if theres anyone out there who knows how to get the virgin central to work then your help is much appreciated

Re: Virgin Central
Have you tried rebooting your STB? My Samsung didn't like Virgin Central at first, but settled down after a reboot.

Re: Virgin Central
i too get the same problem with my V+ box. Press the red button on either 119 or 120 and it freezes until i press tv. Rebooted it many times but still the same. Wouldn't be to bad if it wasn't a crap cartoon advert in the background. Is the VOD just the same thing?

Re: Virgin Central
try turning it off over night and see if that does the trick
if not then maybe theres something wrong with your area at the moment and its a genuine service not available

Re: Virgin Central
Still having the same problem, I only live 10mins away from NTL's main building in Leeds so surely it can't be a problem with the area.

yeah i always sutn off my set top box at night (the least i can do for for the planet in terms of energy saving) however in the morning i am still getting nothing i can still see the virgin ads on virgin central-but i cant actually select any programs. is it because i dont have virgin set top box as mine is the traditional pace (with silver remote).
i should be able to get it as i am only stone throw away from the ntl:telewest building in birmingham.

Re: Virgin Central
Sorry, but you will need to call CS to get the STB registered so you can get the VOD, it was the same for me aswell.
