Re: What are you on and How much you Paying?
I am getting:
TV XL
V+
V Box
BB XL
Phone M
For £61 "for life" (whatever that means). Maybe until the end of the new contract.
Not sure how they worked all that out because the details on the contact make no sense at all. Oh well.

How long do you have to be with them for before you can speak to the retentions department and get your price reduced?

I think everyone's got a chance of getting some kind of deal to be honest.

Re: What are you on and How much you Paying?
Hey,
I'm paying £25pm to NTL for 4MB cable and ~£12 to BT for my landline at the moment. I'm considering moving to a VM TV/BB/Phone package over summer, but ideally I'd like to keep 4MB (L) internet, or possibly even move up to 10MB (XL).
What sort of deal can I expect to get with Phone (M), TV (L) and Broadband (L/XL)?
[edit] Forgot to add, I've been with NTL about 8 months (since June 2006).
[edit] Might as well ask here, I have 2 more questions! 1) Can I keep my BT phone number? 2) Is V+ the only option to receive HDTV signals, or can the standard box do that as well? And if so, what outputs do they have?
Cheers,
Suman

Re: What are you on and How much you Paying?
TV XL
Phone line rental ( normal one no weekend free call or anything)
Internet XL
i used to pay full price but after NTL mess my bill up last year ( my one month bill came more than £100 ) but i got credit back to my account at the end. therefore they been give me special offer since then as £48
ps i still pay for £5 handing fee at the moment so all my package come as 48+5 = £53

Not jealousy at all, we could all ring up retentions and pay next to nothing for our services.
Imagine if everyone done this, what kind of service would we all get? a pretty poor one to be honest.
Im paying £70 for 10Meg and Family Pack or whatever its called now, and im more than happy as my service is absolutely brilliant!
I believe in paying a good price for a good service, fair enough if peoples service is not up to scratch then yes ring retentions, but if your service is working properly, pay the price for it.
At the end of the day, its good there are people that pay full price, if everyone got these cheap deals, the amount of money invested would be a lot lower and there would be no 20/50MB upgrades for instance.
So you should thank us folks that pay proper prices for our services as without us you would be up the spout.

Why don't you go on two for £20 or three for £30, and I think you pay the difference in the cost of the broadband speeds.
Yes - you should be able to teleport your BT number, assuming you're not moving out the area.

Re: What are you on and How much you Paying?
Nope, I couldn't! We aren't allowed to stick things on our flats, so that's Sky out of the question. And when I was on ADSL, my line attenuation was 60dB+ and I had loads of CRC errors and stuff (eventually ended up suddenly dying one day, which is when I got sick of it and switched to NTL which has been solid as a rock ever since).
I'm actually happy with just freeview, but if VM are going to throw in free DTV with their phone line then who am I to refuse

I've got:
TV Size: XL - £20.50
Line Rental - £11.00
Talk Evenings and Weekends Local - £2.00
Broadband Size: L - £25.00
Total £58.50, no discounts. BUT, I don't pay by DD and have never paid a fee... So far. But since my bill has never been wrong (including the one I got today as VM) I'm gonna get it put on DD before they notice!!!
