It is sky who have caused what exactly?
They have caused the problem with the picture and sounds?
Can you prove that?
You have no choice but to gain the channels by other means?
Sorry, you have every choice to watch something legitimate, you either stay with VM or you go with sky, tell me, why is it not practical? not liking the look of a dish on the side of your house is one thing, but to say it is not practical without a reason is not really sound reasoning is it?
Sky have a product just as any company, what they sell it at is upto them, they are entitled to do that, if VM do not want to pay what they view as excessive then that is their right.
But to say " NO CHOICE " do me a favour

Re: Check out Sky One now...

I can't have a dish due to the building restrictions on this house.
Maybe it was an entire coinsidence that SkyOne went wrong just during it's heaviest rating - but maybe it wasn't, who are we to know.
I've been perfectly happy with the service I've had over the last few years. I've paid for all I have but now it seems that Sky and VM spat is going to rob me of two of my programs.
I'm perfectly willing to pay-my-way, but I won't be held to ransom. I hope the day comes soon when we can buy the shows from the independant.

Sorry to hear about the restrictions, but you have atleast explained
Totally agree, I dont know why all these packages cannot be broken down into just programmes you would buy seperately, it must be technically possible.

Checked the feed coming in where?
Cant prove it but you know it?
Can you explain that thought?
If I saw a group of lads around my car one night and the following morning I discovered four slashed tyres does that mean that I know it was them?

No but when you check the feed comming into the TW network and it is distorted is sort of sets of alarm bells. The distortion was not down to us.

Hey I never suggested otherwise, if you thought I did then sorry.
All my collection is genuine, my music collection is my pride, having a real good system that I have makes it nonsense to buy copies.

Is this the first time this has happened?
It could well be coincidence, as I pointed out last night mine was ok, but then I am with sky for the tv.

Whats the legal implication afterall they are under contract for at least 3 days . Can Virgin media take action if they make the service so poor if not do it to SKY on there sole owned channels like Brovo and see if they like it.

SKY just getting petty.

ps checked mine today and yes ours is very poor so its definate someing up.

Re: Check out Sky One now...

Well the sky feed to sky customers was fine, but the sky feed into the TW headend was degraded and carrying the audio descriptors.

We wouldn't purposefully distort the content on Sky, we feel no need to sink that low. If Sky are so scared they can always just give in and accept a reasonable price for their channels. They're gona loose out bit over this too.

But again, not wanting to sound pro sky because I have their equipment, but without solid proof?
Can VM not take it up with a particular body?

I don't understand why BBC2 would have been affected? As I understand it, it wasn't just a problem with Sky last night (all of our channels went off in the end).
