VIP Bundle

O.K. I have went for the VIP Bundle yesterday and immediately the guy gave me all the channels and told me that my BB would go up to 10 Meg in the next couple of hours. On checking this morning the BB is stil only at 4 Meg. Any idea how long it should take and what steps I need to take e.g. reboot the CM, Router etc. I have been checking the Operational config of the CM and it is still sitting at 4096.

Thanks for any help you can offer

Re: VIP Bundle

Power your PC down, then your router then the CM, power up the CM then the router then the PC.
You can often just get away with rebooting the CM though

Re: VIP Bundle

Thanks for the replies..... had tried all those things and still no joy. Quick call today to CS only to find out that they have a day off :O Got throught to the Tech support and they checked and seen no upgrade to 10Meg for me .. they suggest I phone CS tomorrow and let them know..... Never simple is it ? This is the only time I ever have any probs with NTL(VM) when I have to communicate with them.

Re: VIP Bundle

The same thing happened to me.

Changed to VIP package and told 'BB upgrade may take up to 24hrs'. Called back 2 days later because my modem had clearly not been reconfigured and the guy I spoke to said the VIP change to the billing had been made but that the 10Meg change had, for unknown reasons, not been made. He then made the change there and then. All this rubbish about 'taking 24 hours' just does not wash. If you upgrade via the online tier migration page, it happens right away. As per most things CS wise, it probably just depends who you get. I just wonder if those that let you down do so because they just can't be bothered or because they just don't have the know how. Given that I doubt that it's rocket science, my own conclusions have been drawn........

Re: VIP Bundle

The BB upgrade is instant (providing SABS doesn't decide to leave the modem on "pending create") which most CSR's dont have a clue about

Re: VIP Bundle

Called CS today and explained what happened and they said that it should be upgraded in the next 10 minutes. At work so I haven't been able to check yet. Also noticed that the CS people I speak to seem to be very friendly and at least try striking up a conversation with you. Before it was all very dull speaking to CS. Hopefully it's changing.... and hopefully I'll have my 10 Meg by the time I'm home.
