no never but if someone is on the desktop and then someone else starts the laptop up the connection will drop on the desktop and reconnect

Why do you have 2 firewalls running on both computers, it's better to just have 1 firewall on each computer. That way they won't conflict with each other.

			I have WRT54GS v5.1 router and I tried to flash DD-WRT but to no avail... it doesn't let me flash at all.. what could be the reason? thanks in advance

Let me know how you get on. |  I was stuck on step 8. I kept trying for quite a while... had to reboot the computer and router twice... well its sorted out now... its updated already... thanks a bunch...
