Remote Lags
I've been getting really annoyed with my box lagging.
It happens a fair bit but I can press a button and nothing happens then I'll press it again and a couple fo things. After another 40 to a minute or more seconds it will suddenly catch up and it will go though all of the options that I pressed at high speed.
This is at its most annoying when it does it while watching something that has been recorded. I was watching twice now I've beeen stuck in fast forward at 16 times for 40 or so seconds past where I pressed play. I then have to rewind back to where I wanted.
Does anyone else have this problem and is there a way to fix it. I have reset the box a couple of times but it still comes back.

Is this for the V+ (TVDrive) box, because the lags are a right royal pain in the posterior

Re: Remote Lags
Can i ask how you know theres going to be a fix for this?
It is the single most annoying problem with my new box, its literally hangs for 2mins at a time sometimes and can ruin programmes if your switching adverts at breaks etc.
I hope the patch fixes it, i cant help thinking virgin need to fix these problems if there going to be any different, but the reality is they trade on a name, and that name isn't worth that much anymore, look at the trains and all that etc

I was hoping that I had seen the end of remote control lags after replacing the Samsung with with a new V+ - but no. I hope there is a fix soon.

Re: Remote Lags
Lagging in the TV guide is really bad when changing pages. I've been stuck for over 10 minutes at a time today

Software/firmware upgrades to STB's are done automatically, a reboot shouldn't be needed, but it will do no harm to reboot your STB weekly anyway.
