Cancelled NTL today
Been a customer since 1999, giving them upto £150 every month. Service has been fine, and not got a problem with the amount of money I'm giving them, but I was keen to get a second TVDrive box in the house. My old man lives with me and for reasons I won't go into spends a bit of time in bed watching the TV. He has trouble setting the video, so thought this would be a really nice present for him.
Anyway, NTL can't offer me that so going to move to Sky and get a couple of their Sky+ boxes. It's a shame, as I've been pretty happy with NTL, but needs must.

Yeah it's a shame, if we were several more months along the line i don't think there would have been a problem, i just can't see them letting people have 2 before they have had the chance to deliver one to everybody, and i agree with that policy.

I know that people with TV Drive on Telewest are allowed more than 1 TV Drive per household and with everything aligning for tomorrow's Virgin Media launch i'm sure that will be possible

Re: Cancelled NTL today
if u set another account up that is possible, or as JG said, i too think that they will allow more than 1, it was the same on ntl when DTV launched, they only allowed 1 per household, now u can have what you like, stay with ntl and im sure you will be made happy in the coming months

Re: Cancelled NTL today
I'd like to stay with NTL (save a lot of hassle) but as they can't let me buy a second PVR atm I really do need to move.

Re: Cancelled NTL today
There is limited supply at the moment, so it's only fair to limit it to one per account.
Surely it's not that urgent you need one now, plus if you go to sky, you'll have to pay for the boxes!!
I would like another one, but I'm quite willing to wait a couple of months.

I understand why they're limiting them Vid. I don't have a problem with that. Money isn't an object really.
I'd like to give my old man a present, and I can't do that with NTL, so I've cancelled and I'll buy the boxes from Sky.

Have a look on the DigitalSpy forum, there are people on there who have 2 V+ box's installed, but it all depends on who you speak to at Customer Services.

Check out the VIP threads, since they merged the forums I'm having trouble finding posts on there as they seem to have numerous VIP threads running.
Here ya go, found the thread. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...6&page=9&pp=25
There are two people on that thread saying they have 2 V+ box's (1 even has a Standard one aswell)

Basis 1 Feb price changes I'm saving £11.50 on my current services and I get Broadband from 4 to 10mb (worth £10), Talk Weekends to Unlimited (worth £14) and switching a Standard box for a V+. On top of that it's all on already. There's no installation fee for the extra V+ but I have to wait three weeks.
I have to admit to a smile on my face. Hopefully there'll be an even better deal sometime which will include a mobile.
This seems to have been a well kept secret. The special deals TW were handing out to some probably don't look so special now!?
Thanks to the porter / kevin pedrick for the alert

The extra standard STB might be the sticking point here.

Re: Cancelled NTL today
Thanks for taking the time to find that site and post Bubs, really appreciate it. My NTL services are still scheduled to be cancelled in a few weeks time, but if I can get a second V+ box then Ill be more than happy to stay with NTL. Registered with the site and will try and find out more.
Seems strange that Im the one chasing a route to pay them more money in order to stay with them
