Re: Any one watched a High Def movie on VOD yet

The High Def section of FilmFlex is empty according to my TVDrive.

The website says that Armageddon is in Hight Def, so I thought I'd try it directly using the A-Z instead, seeing as it is only a couple of quid.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't as the little high def indicator on the TVDrive didn't light up, and it didn't "look" like a high def version.

I'd be interested in seeing if anyone has access to the high def filmflex movies?

I watched Pride on BBCHD On Demand. The FilmFlex HD folder is empty.

Unless it's in the HD folder, it won't be the HD version.

No HD FilmFlex content here (LE11). Hoping to do Pirates 1 & 2HD back to back soon...

Re: Any one watched a High Def movie on VOD yet

I have noticed that a lot of the movies that are in the main movies bit have 'HDMI only' in the description box. I know they aren't in HD so why can they only be viewed through HDMI? saying that I haven't tried viewing them an other way.

This is a copy-prevention issue. These films are playable only through the HDMI output to an HDCP-compliant display. While the HDMI output is active, the SCART outputs are disabled, so all (easy) methods of recording/copying are denied to you. You can't record these fillms on the TVDrive, either.

Cheers, I though it might have been a copy protection thing.

Re: Any one watched a High Def movie on VOD yet

Same here i had a e-mail from filmflex here is what they said below,

Hi ************* Thanks for your email. I’m afraid we have had some trouble publishing HD movies to NTL as it is a new service. I have alerted the techies who are currently rectifying the problem but cannot say how long it will take.

Thanks

Jack Solesbury
