Re: Monitor Help!!

hi peeps
got the iiyama prolite e435s with the tinting, was fine when i last unplugged it left sitting for 5 weeks now i got the pinky thing going on.
gonna send it back under warranty, found a temporary fix for those without warranties etc,if your using nvidia drivers/control panel use the color correction tab/advanced user, to take away the pinking, its fiddly but very worth doing if you cant afford a new monitor or have lost the reciept.,be sure to adjust colors indepently ie:red, green, blue.hope this helps.

Angry Re: Monitor Help!!

Has any one had any luck with this? I also have an E435S with exactly the same problem!!!

Was fine for a year or so at my girlfriends house, then took it to mine and was fine for a few months, went to move it accross the room and BAM washed out colours! Same auto problem too!

What the hell!

Cheers in advance

Re: Monitor Help!!

This is a commom problem with the E435s', we used to get quite a few back for swaps, luckily the warranty is 3 years. I have one now that is a warranty return that I got cheap, still works fine (touch wood). It seems something screws up with the logic board and Iiyama saying that they are not aware of the problem is rubbish, when I have talked to them they have said there have been a few with the same problem and that is why you have to wait for a swap out and this was more than a year ago.

Re: Monitor Help!!

Cheerio..

I've had this same problem with my e435s, and when I posted a service request to Illyama netherlands I got the following tip back.

Turn the monitor power off

Press both + and - at the same time, keep them pressed and turn the monitor back on.

Wait till the power light is on, then release the buttons.

For me, a service menu now popped up, and in there all I had to do was select the autocolor option and my colours were back to normal.

Hope this is some help to you lot.

Cheers.

Unhappy Re: Monitor Help!!

Hi everyone.

I have joined up as I like everyone here have the same problem with my E435S, except mine is BRIGHT blue. It's awful!

Same as above posts really; rearranged the room, unplugged monitor, plugged back in, bam, lovely bright blue screen.

Cyborgpuppy's trick didnt seem to work for me so maybe I have a different revision software in my monitor. It's all happened at a REALLY bad time (I use the screen to work on at least 5 hours a day) so was wondering, miracle of all miracles, if anyone else had found out how to resolve this issue.

Many thanks to everyone who's posted so far about this.

Regards,
Jon

Re: Monitor Help!!

Shut it down and plug/unplug the lead to the vga several times, it could just be a bad connection

Lightbulb Re: Monitor Help!!

Well blow me, it DID work when I tried it one last time!

Steps to follow:

Unplug screen from mains
Wait 5 seconds
Plug screen into mains
Hold down + and -
Hold down Power
Let go of Power when power LED lights up
Let go of + and -, computer screen will now display
Push Menu

Now you have the setup menu onscreen.

Use the + and - buttons to move the hilighted option over AutoColor at the top of the box
Push Menu to select that option

This fixed it for me.
MANY MANY thanks to the Cyborg dude once more for that lifesaver!!
Have a beer on me.

Regards,
a happy Jon
