Bravo disappeared but Bravo +1 still there?

For the last few days Bravo seems to just display a black screen for me, whilst Bravo +1 appears fine.

I just wondered if anybody else was seeing this or if it was just me.

Thanks,

T.

I think you've got a signal level problem. It's also causing your NDE01 error. Get on the phone to Faults.

Re: Bravo disappeared but Bravo +1 still there?

Thanks Spiderplant. I called Faults yesterday, and they said they're escalating it to their Level 2 who would call me back within 4 days. Is there a way for me to check the signal levels when I get home? Should Fault be able to easily check my signal level? (I would think they should). And have I understood signal level correctly? It means the signal from NTL to my box is weak? Nothing to do with the box itself?

It does seem odd that only Bravo is missing. All the other channels and everything other than the VOD seems to work fine.

Thanks again,

T.

No point in you checking the levels because you can't fix it. That's their job.

Looking at it in a bit more detail, I think the problem might actually be noise on the network rather than signal levels. Maybe you have a neighbour with the cable plugged directly into the TV.

You probably do have other channels missing. Try Living and Challenge.

Re: Bravo disappeared but Bravo +1 still there?

Thanks again spiderplant. Yep you're right, Living and Challenge are missing too. And looking at the box's event log I notice that if I try to go to either of those 3 channels I get a "TAS tuning timeout". Still not had a call back from Faults Level 2. I'll hopefully try calling them again today...

Re: Bravo disappeared but Bravo +1 still there?

I tried calling Faults again as I hadn't heard back from their Level 2.... After checking my account he told me that I'd dialled the wrong number as I'm on a different billing system and that he'll put me through, and put me through to CS. CS told me that Faults work 6 days a week, and it's 4 working days, so I should wait until the end of tomorrow before calling back. *sigh*

Re: Bravo disappeared but Bravo +1 still there?

After a few more calls to Faults they are sending a tech tomorrow morning.
Last night the missing channels were all back! However still getting the NDE01 error trying to get to VOD, so let's see what the tech can do about that.

Re: Bravo disappeared but Bravo +1 still there?

Sorry I seem to have ended up on lots of threads with this problem! VOD is now working. See http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/sh...2#post34206762
for details.
Thanks for everyone's advice.
