belkin wireless g plus router

Hi all i bought it few wks back to connect wifes laptop to and it does no problem
i have just bought a dreambox 500s and try as i may i can not get it connected to router using wire ethernet lead is this router ok to do wireless and ethernet lead
cheers i am using ntl broadband

what is the specific model of the router...normally routers have a four port switch built in that is OK to hard wire devices to plus another fifth port that the cable modem connects to.
