Cable Modem signal levels question

Here's what I'm getting when I go to http://root:root@192.168.100.1/

Downstream Receive Power: - 7.35dBmV

Downstream SNR: 33.24dB

Upstream Transmit Power: 45.50

I'm on the 4MB service but my speeds are usually between 2.3 and 2.7, sometimes much worse, never better.

Is it something to do with my modem signal level, and what can I do about it?

(I'm connecting through Ethernet)..

Re: Cable Modem signal levels question

Only thing that could be better there is:
Downstream Receive Power: - 7.35dBmV

But it shouldn't cause too much of a problem with speed, maybe a little bit of packet loss, maybe worth a look by an engineer, could be your modem as those levels look pretty good.

Re: Cable Modem signal levels question

My SACM is running Downstream Receive Power Level : -9.7 dBmV and regularly batters the 10Mbit barrier. SNR is more important and 33.24dB is plenty.
