Re: User Profile sizes???
Your user profile size includes all the files in my documents, my pictures, my music, desktop, temporary internet files etc...
AFAIK the only way to reduce its size is to prune these...

Re: User Profile sizes???
Sometimes games put there saved game directory under your Profile\My Documents, so it would be worth a look into your profile and see exactly what is in there.

Re: User Profile sizes???
Get Treesize Free addition...
As long as they are local drives you can use it..
It shows the size of all folders and makes it very easy to see where the most space is being used.

Hope it helps

Another thought, there's only two reasons I know of that your user profile size should worry you:
a) If you're running out of disk space
b) If you're on a network with a roaming profile, when it can make logging on slow down
Otherwise I don't think it matters....

Stuff on the desktop is also a culprit -the old "Oh - I'll just dump it there for the moment.." and it never gets moved!

Re: User Profile sizes???
Temporary Internet files - IE always sets the size of the folder to something daft like 2GB, when 100MB is fine. It's supposed to be a cache - you'd think Microsoft would know what a cache is. I've turned off caching - broadband is fast enough now for it not be needed. Then there's the temp folder - full of all manner of junk that can be deleted.
