Re: Nero 7.5.9.0
Just trialled it to see if it was any better than previous versions of Nero - it's not
Tried to create a DVD using completely compliant dvb mpeg2s and - yes, it wants to spend 2 hours pointlessly re-encoding it ....
I'm sticking with TMGEnc

DVB Mpegs? Or, DVD compliant Mpegs? DVB (or, at least, DVB-T) Mpegs often contain synchronisation info that is not DVD compliant.

DVB mpegs that are also totally DVD complaint - right resolution, right GOP, right bitrate - TMP managed to author them to DVD without any complaint. Nero is fine for no brain burning stuff - and I like the menu designer - but it's rubbish at authoring.

Re: Nero 7.5.9.0
Ok, I'm downloading this purely because I can and because I can always delete it it later, if necessary. However, and I must hang my head in ignorant shame here and ask, what exactly am I downloading?
I've got to admit that I'm a bit pee'ed off with Roxio at the moment and am seriously considering Nero.

If it's the right format and structure you could always just launch nero burning rom, tell it to make a DVD Video and drag & drop the files into the Video_ts subdir?

EDIT 42% and rising extremely slowly. I'll let it finish overnight. I hope it's worth the wait, although I still don't know exactly what I am downloading. A little googling is called for tomorrow, methinks.

Then I wouldn't get the menu creator - and that's the only thing Nero has going for it.
Anyway, I've already uninstalled it. At least, most of it. It's left a load of crap all over my system. Just getting CrapCleaner onto it now.
