Re: how do i get in the engineres menu?

The only thing I an think of in the engineer's menu that might be of use to a customer is the Volume control. Everything else can break your connection if used incorrectly. Also, bear in mind that if you DO alter anything on the that menu, and something goes wrong with your cable connection in the future, you run the risk of the engineer just blaming that and charging you for the repair.

Correct.
Working for Telewest, if a customer causes a fault the cost of repair is the cost of the call out £75.00 regardless of complaints etc as the customer would be the cause of the fault not the company.
Those techs could be assisting customers who dont have dial tones and depend on a phone line as a life line. (one of many examples). which we would have to pospone due to a first come first serve policy.

Not worth it unless you know what your doing.

Good advice!

And if you don't know where to find it ... you don't know what you are doing.

It's possible to see them on Samsung box engineering menus, but not really advisable to do so.

Re: how do i get in the engineres menu?

Could someone who knows, just answer his question ?

He has been made aware of the consequences and should be able to use the menu at his own risk.

Re: how do i get in the engineres menu?

but an engineers menu is just what it says on the tin, for engineers not for customers who want to be tinkering with god knows what and potentially causing problems on equipment that doesn't belong to them

Re: how do i get in the engineres menu?

Up down blue
This is a method of getting up a mini diagnostic screen, and is actually page up, page down then the blue button.
Play away till your hearts content with that, as for entering the engineering menu - its been said before.
If you dont know how to get in it, you might just save a truckroll and yourself £75
