The EULA & Settings screen both refer to Sysinternals, so yes it's theirs. Came with the company I guess!

It did.
If you let it run for long enough, it also simulates a reboot and chkdsk (complete with lots of errors and disk access).

Ok here goes - Yes I got fooled by this screen saver on a colleagues PC and promptly rebooted it for him. He wasn't pleased though as he had some unsaved work running. All I said was 'tough luck, change your screen saver'.
