Oh goody!

The synergy of Carphone Warehouse's Broadband customer service, and that of AOL, should be a wonder to behold.

NTL simply won't be in their league when it comes to a competition for the worst ISP!

Re: Carphone Warehouse Buys AOL in the UK

Talktalk is over subscribed so they buy an isp.Aol isnt small so this will be a shrewd move on there part to expand there connectivity. AOL as a BB provider (as long as you use a router) is no less crap than any other crap BT based isp. I understand people do not like AOL internal browser because of wan ports and driver etc but for the mainstream No0b user its fine.

Please don't say that. Since Pipex bought Nildram, the service has gone downhill, Pipex have taken a once great ISP and totally ruined it.

Re: Carphone Warehouse Buys AOL in the UK

Interesting. I wonder how this will affect AOL broadband customers whose service is provided through ntl cable?

The announcement came as the mobile phone retailer revealed losses from offering "free" broadband to 625,000 of its Talk Talk customers will hit £70 million this year.

which is odd because I use 123-reg and they are now owned by Pipex and the service is still 1st class.

There is a big difference between a commercial product, and a residential one.

Are we talking about connectivity here ?
