I didn't know if i should just leave it and let it see if it fixes itself (lol)
i disconnected my cable box for a while as i was putting up new shelves etc however i for got to plug in the white cable and now all the tv channels apart from 1-5 bbc 3-4 are "unsubscribed channel" Already tried to get through to ntl's CS however the lines are busy.

Make sure that your viewing card is in tight, try re-seating it and check all other connections

Re: faulty cable box?

A while back, I got home from work to find that all our channels had done the same thing. I phoned ntl's fault report number, and the guy was puzzled for a few minutes, checked a couple of things then told me that we'd been cut off. But, he didn't know why, as we'd paid our bill and wern't behind with any payments. He finally said that they'd cut the wrong house off!

Re: faulty cable box?

phoned yesterday told them my problems wit the box, they then tried sending a signal to the box "no problems there". After 5 mins of chatting on the phone to a nice newcastle lass but this time no joy, she then booked me an engineer to come out today.

*24 hrs passes, ntl tech comes with a brand new sammy box says the old one is dead.

A brand new sammy box and everything works A O K.

nice service from ntl again
