Langley or Bromley?
To take my mind off the cr*p broadband, I have bought myself a new HDD/DVD recorder which has the GuidePlus tv guide. (Much better than the STB tv listings which only works sometimes and crashes the box if I dare to press the TV Guide button.)
During setup it asks if I am ntl Langley or nrl Bromley. I'm in Stoke on Trent so I think it's Langley. Am I correct?
Thanks.

Re: Langley or Bromley?
Ooo another Langley/Bromley thread Right about now the channel numbering should be the same anyway but if BBC1 is channel 1 on the STB youre old ordered Bromley, if its on 101 youre either Langley or new, renumbered Bromley.

Re: Langley or Bromley?
All the channels changed a couple of weeks ago and BBC1 is now on 101.

Re: Langley or Bromley?
Then it doesnt matter which you choose as they both should now be the same

Actually on second thoughts pick Langley as I think that is what the new channel line up is matched to

Re: Langley or Bromley?
This question comes up so often I'm suprised it's not made a sticky.
Put your postcode in here:- http://www.dslzoneuk.net/ntl_region.php

Re: Langley or Bromley?
Thanks. The postcode checker says I'm Bromley, so I'll give that one a go.

Re: Langley or Bromley?
best way to remember is are you ex C&W or ex old ntl.
Ex C&W is Bromley ex-ntl is Langley.
Stoke is ex C&W.

Re: Langley or Bromley?
The box is asking for Langley/Bromley to work out channel numbering, since all the Bromley numbers have now changed to match Langley, it's probably better to enter Langley as the Bromley ones could well be out of date.
