Telewest Targets 50 to 100Mbps!
Telewest are to launch 50Mb and 100Mb Boradband services in 2006. It will use the Data Over Cable Service Interface Specifications (DOCSIS) standard which works over hybrid fibre co-axial cable. BT users in the mean time will have to wait till at least 2050 for that sort of speed!

Really hope NTL are planning to do this too since I cant recieve telewest where I am

The date on that article you cite looks a bit suspicious:

Have you seen anything more recent?

Can I blame it on the half-empty glass of red wine in front of me?

Actually I've just topped it up - tough week.
Which reminds me - I must have another go at your stress test to see if my eyes are wiggling too much...

Nope, their date isn't set wrong. The article mentions the rollout of 10 meg which it says "started Yesterday". The 10 Meg rollout did start around september 2005.
