ntl internet question

Ok firstly sorry if this is in the wrong section. Im not entirely sure where to put it. And this is my first post so go easy.

I currently have 2 ntl stb. 1 in my lounge, and 1 in my bedroom. We have a pc in the lounge, which is connected to the internet through a cable going into the back of the stb in the lounge. I have just got myself a laptop, and would like to be able to have internet on both the laptop, and the pc, at the same time. Would it be possible to connect a cable between the laptop, and the bedroom stb to do this? and if so, which cable would i need?

If this cannot be done, I'm assuming that the next best alternative would be to get myself a wireless router. Which one's would people recommend?

Thanks in advance

Re: ntl internet question

I believe it can't be done or if it can be done it'll be illegal. Get yourself a WRT54GS wireless router as these are very popular on this forum.

Re: ntl internet question

Even if it could be done, you would probably be chaged for another Internet connection.

As SnoopZ has said, get yourself a router and then you will be able to share the connection to all your computers / Laptops.
