I have ordered the 2 for £20 telewest package and it is going to be installed next week.
I have a few questions however. I am considering using a wireless router to use the internet on three seperate upstairs computers, mainly to prevent wires trailing around the house. Does the router have to be downstairs next to the telewest box or is there any way to have it upstairs? Also, do the router and the set top box for the TV channels have to be in the same part of the house? Could we have the router upstairs and the box downstairs? Or is none of this possible?
You could ask for the cable modem to be installed upstairs - if it's installed downstairs, the router will have to be next to it, or you'll have to have a cable trailing between the cable modem and the router.
Just ask them to put the cable modem somewhere convenient upstairs where you can put that and the router.
