ADSL Max and ADSL RAG - broadband speed availability

have just eben looking at a website caleld The broadband Resource" and it tells me that "your line should be able to support a 4.5Mbps or greater ADSL connection via ADSL Max.

Standard ADSL RAG results:
You can receive 2Mbps ADSLYou can receive 1Mbps ADSLYou can receive 512Kbps ADSLYou can receive 256Kbps ADSL"

Can anyone please tell me what the difference is between ADSL Max and standard ADSL RAG is please and if I upgarded would I be able to get a 2meg or a 4meg broadband connection as I currently have a 1meg connection.

Thank you.

not sure what RAG stands for but the 4 speeds below it are the fixed rate adsl products so if you got 2mbit you alway synch at 2mbit. Adsl max is rate adaptive so synchs higher depending on line conditions.
