Verified paypal account

hi i hope someone can help
i have a paypal account with a few pennies in it transfered from my bank account.

i want to buy something off ebay but to get enough money in paypal will take 7 days

So i want to pay using my credit card through paypal. is this possible? ive put in my CC details in paypal and made it my primary card.
it then has a "complete varification process" button i click that and that takes me to a "Be Safe. Become Verified" page.

now this is where im getting stuck.

i have done first 2 verifcation processes
1.Set up bank funding
2.Validate your account information

its #3 that gets me:
Supply merchant information

i click that and it asks me details about my business...i am not a business i want to use paypal to buy items off ebay

what do i do to become verified when im not a business?
and once i am can i bid on items from ebay and have them go through paypal using my CC?
Thanks in advance

u maybe wondering why im asking here - well some of u are ebay experts and paypal havnt got back to me

Re: Verified paypal account

Even if you don't want to sell anything, it requires you to add this information.

It's not much to add, so add it anyway and then you'll become verified.

Re: Verified paypal account

Nice to see you back Nem

Verifying my account was fiddly, paypal credited my bank a/c with a small amount of money and then I had to check my statement and type in the exact amount of credited money into paypals verification process....

Re: Verified paypal account

also you can still buy things with Paypal it might just take a couple of days cuz of Echeques that will be issued then.

process is Paypal takes money via the direct debit agreement and then gives it to the person your buying from, this normally takes about 5 working days.

There is no 7 day clearance for me when funds have to come from the bank. I even got annoyed once when I made a £200 purchase using paypal and the money was there but in euros and paypal decided to use bank funding higher priority then euros so it took about 20gbp which was there ignored the high euro balance and got the rest from my bank, no clearance needed.

Also I think you are trying to setup a business account, if I remember right you only need premium account for verified individual which shouldnt require business info, this is suitable upto when you have used about 4k worth of transactions.
