purchased a Linksys Wireless-G USB net adapter. my laptop has Intel wireless in it.
don't rely now what I'm doing just following on screen instructions and win help.
managed to get my PC connected strait to my laptop with no router, but every time I powered off both for a time connection was lost had to re do net wizard each time.
Now I cant even get the computers to even see each other is it a doable thing connecting with two adapters without a router or was it just fluke
Yes you can connect direct to each machine with wireless.
Its just an ad-hoc wireless to wireless connection. Working on client sites where they wont let you connect to the network we do it all the time, its easier than standing up and walking over to somebodies desk with a USB key
