Xbox live though a pc?

I have supanet internet, Its basicly acts like a fast dial-up (have to dial to connect). I want to get my xbox360 on xbox live but can't connect the modem to the console. Does anyone know of how to connect the 360 to the pc and then the internet.
I can use the LAN to do xbox to pc but then how do i access to the web (and then xbox live)?

I would class my self as technicly minded but can't get things to work. Because I can't get a router it will have to be XBox to PC to Internet (Via Dial-Up modem).

Well, you can get a wireless device for your PC, a Xbox360 wi-fi adaptor, connect the two via ad-hoc mode and then share the dial-up internet via ICS.

You might want to check though, Xbox live isn't designed for dial-up. Supanet (which is still just dialup, with caching and some tweaking) might not be fast enough, particularly upload-wise.

Re: Xbox live though a pc?

it wont work @ all

when you try to connect to the live servers it will reject the connection as they will detect what kinda connection you are using

Re: Xbox live though a pc?

When you say Supanet Internet, do you mean this... www.supanet.com/dialup ? Or do you have their ADSL but that it has a dialler that needs to be launched before your connection is established?

Re: Xbox live though a pc?

Its the second one, I eventually got it working. Firstly the internet settings needed changing on the computer to allow it to be shared. Secondly the 360 did not change to manual network settings but stayed in automatic and that caursed problems.
