Thorny is an unknown quantity at this point
point IE through 2nd adapter?

I have 2 networks, a work internal network and a wireless adsl network.

Anyone know how I can point IE to use the wireless network so i can have unrestricted internet access rather than it defaulting through the works proxy?

i have tried removing roxy info from IE settings and also tried pointing it at the adsl wireless router

Thanks

Re: point IE through 2nd adapter?

The windows software will always want to use the wired connection, if available over a wireless one. Is the wireless actually active when you also have wired access?

Re: point IE through 2nd adapter?

right click wired network adapter and click disable use your wireless for net then re enable after maybe?
Or maybe run network setup wizard and when asked for net connection point to the wireless this may then leave the wired network open to file share and the wireless network for net. never tried this so dunno
