37 seconds isn't that good, like you say it could be down to your ram, I get 29 seconds and my old 3200 used to get 34.

The p4 sucks at doing superpi, my 930 could only do it in 34 seconds (1M) when running at 4GHz.
However the c2d absolutely thrashes everything else out there.
My record for 1M is 13 seconds, 34 seconds for 2M

32M in 15mins 14 seconds

I'm liking the comparisons that have been given, this PC is about 3x faster than my old one, and the C2D's appear to be around 2.5x faster than this current one, so, when i get the money i could just drop an E4300 and some nice DDR2-800 RAM into this board and be well away... I like it

Just defragging now, i forgot that copying allsorts via a network would fragment m drive to hell, then switch it back into SATA mode and see if that makes any difference. My RAM timings are 4-4-4-12 btw.

Your local Halfords or auto repair shop will have it - its used for fixing the heating elements that you get for defrosting rear car windows.

Nice! Thanks, i'm trying a vdroop mod believe it or not, so, i'm practicing on some old boards i have before i take it over to this.

I'm tired of selecting 1.55v in the bios to boot into windows at 3.8ghz and it say it's only 1.42v (which is good, but the BIOS is misleading as it cannot give the stable power it needs to)
Hope you understand, and i know 1.55v is probably dangerous around this chip, hence the 1.42v

lmao, i was thinking about the E4300 when it comes out... Ditch this RAM and CPU... I already have an S3 that does pretty well with overclocking

temptation has got the better of me ive ordered an E6600 for 230 quid from micro direct http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Product...4&GroupID=1674 and the Asus P5WDH to go with it wish me better luck than im used to lol

I just hope it all goes together.Ive not been happy with this pc since I built it I dont like intel chipsets but I cant find a board with the new ATI in the offing anywhere so its a risk of another intel chipset

Least this is a revised board seeing as the originals didnt work with C2D so at least it has a new bios so im hoping that bodes well lol will all be here Friday anyway lol

If owt goes wrong ill just invoke my 7 day distance selling rights anyway

Nice, the latest BIOS does fix alot of issues apparantly, and people are finally really happy with the board. Could possibley be next on the cards for me next year with an E4300
