So by 2010, hopefully we will get to the top of the hill and find out what is on the other side

Re: XP Bliss?
It;s not that I can't find anyone who doesn't have it in stock, it's that the licence from Microsoft stops them from selling the remote without the software....or so they say. They say it comes as a package. If they sold a remote to me then they would be left with software that does not have a remote....

Why is that a problem? You have the MSDN software, they have the remote, what's stopping you? Why do you care if they're left with software minus a remote?

I don't care. It's them (local OEM store) who say this. They won't sell me the remote as they claim it contravenes their licence agreement with MS.
So, I placed an order with ebuyer this morning. They were not able to comment on any specific product enquiry when I emailed them to ask if they would sell it separately... I will just have to wait and see if it arrives or not. But the inference is that they should not sell me one for licencing reasons.
There must be other MSDN'ers in my position.....

So, unless ebuyer honour the order that I put in this morning, I don't think I will have a remote control facility.

If they don't ... buy it from Ebay. I would also point out that it must be possible to get replacement remote controls, people will not buy a copy of an operating system should they break theres, that'd be retarded.

Not sure why you're asking when you can simply click on the ebay link I provided yesterday.

Re: XP Bliss?
I downloaded that screensaver the other night and I do not rate it. I have donwloaded the newer version of Bliss and I have got that as my desktop as it is better than the standard Windows one.
