Question Manually Connecting to NTL Unlimited Dialup Service

Would anyone be willing to give me instructions to manually configure my PC (Windows '95) to connect to NTLs dialup service?

Their install disk no longer supports '95. There is also a post in dialup.info but the link to the specific instructions does not work.

sincerely

M/doo

Re: Manually Connecting to NTL Unlimited Dialup Service

From memory, you go to start > programs > accessories > communications > dialup networking > add new connection.

Follow the wizard, using the phone number 0800 519 0100 when asked for it (the unmetered number)

When the connection is complete, double click Internet Explorer on the desktop, this should bring you the dialup box. Input your username and password, and then click dial.

If the box does not appear, in Internet Explorer click tools > internet options, click the 'connections' tab, then make sure 'always dial my default connetcion' has a dot in it.

There are then one or two tweaks you can make to speed up the actual connection process, but from memory I cannot remember the exact instructions.
