LAWS to strip disgraced peer Jeffrey Archer of his right to sit in the House of Lords could be introduced in the next Queen's Speech.
It would bring the Lords into line with the Commons - where MPs who have been jailed for 12 months or more are barred.

Personally, I think he should be barred from the House of Lords, lose his peerage, plus pay back most of the ill gotten gains from his "victims".
Also I think he typifies the tory government of the 80's / 90's we all had to endure.

Well thats my opinion anyway.

a couple of small points...

i) I haven't spent any time in jail
ii) I'm Not Jeffrey Archer
iii) Abolishing the house of lords would not remove the title of lord.

You all missed an option for the poll - PROMOTE Archer. Just swap him with Blair. Cannot be worse

Removing his peerage will do the most damage to him personally, hopefully it would puncture his overblown supercilious attitude.
