Latent Browsing

I've noticed that if I access my i-Web control panel from my NTL 750kbps (silver service) connection it takes quite a while to draw all the little icons - a full 16 seconds when I last timed it. However, if I try using my clients 512kbps 20:1 ADSL connection (Eclipse Internet - v. nice) then it blasts along and only takes a second or so. Both PCs are virtually identical and, as far as I know, are configured similarly.

Anyone else noticed anything like this?

Anyone got any comments as to what might be causing it?

Re: Latent Browsing

Have you tried changing proxy Altis? Most find this sorts their browsing problems. I'm guessing Eclipse are like my ISP and don't have damn proxies

Re: Latent Browsing

Changing proxy won't affect anything, the i-web control panel is not on port 80.

Re: Latent Browsing

Ordinary browsing appears 'clunkier' through my NTL connection too but, I guess, that is quite a subjective judgement. Downloading big files is fine - it trots along at over 80kBps. But when a web page is made of lots of elements they seem to come in one by one. By far the most obvious difference I've found so far is with the i-Web control panel.
