Sorry if I come across as being blunt but that's the way it is.

i meant hes wrong in what he thinks about me, i see what hes saying in some aspects, i know of them, ofcourse, but the few times i have felt myself have been when i have been around someone i have cared about, i can provide the nessecary requirements, maybe not all at once, but i feel i can...

I can only base my opinion of you on how you post on here, and from what I've seen, you don't have much to offer a potential partner at the moment and you won't do until you sort your head out, don't act the man, be the man.

ill admit that im not 100%, but whats gong to get me out of all the rest of my problems ? sit here do nothing, try something but be unable to preform any duties jobs college etc ?

you dont know me personally as an indivdual, you never will, im not wholly incapable of not being able to do anything, if i feel i have something to give i will put 100% in to it.

if it fails it fails, atleast i tried and not be stuck in a world of manic depression and anxeity, sometimes you have to go and look for things. they dont come to you.

Kronas, you just need to stop thinking about this so much.
It's not doing you any favours and these things (sex, love, marriage etc) come naturally in life. They might take 2 months to turn up or they might take 2 years, we can't change the future.
Just get out there, do your job (I assume you still have your job?) and let things happen.

so im basically going to be sat at home, no motivation, no thoughts, no feelings etc nothing to do....

ok i suppose thats better than me being active in something and trying to 'lighten' up and provide myself with distractions, and possibly meeting someone new, that i might actually have something in common with ?

Have you not been given countless amounts of advice on this already? I'm sorry, but asking for tips on how to get women on a forum is way beyond sad, it put's me in mind of those nolifes you get on IRC that have no other phrase in their vocabulary other than "ASL?"

read the first bit, didn't understand wtf you were trying to say, as for giving 100% to something, why don't you give 100% to getting a social life then let the skirt chasing come as a natural progression. An 18 year old using online dating sites, I've never heard anything like it!

My last girlfriend was Valentine's Day this year, I went out with her for a week then dumped her because she was a total loser

It does get me down not having that "special someone" but I just started a new job last week and already within a few days, I'm on "friends" status with a very, very nice girl who has all the qualities I would want in the perfect partner.
Just getting out there makes a difference, staying at home all day does nothing except make you feel worse.

I wouldn't know, I have never and will never use a dating service, I actually have some social skills I can rely on instead.

i know, i just wish i could go out there and do something, but i cannot concentrate on things, i know what everyone is trying to say, forcing the issue may make matters in terms of my health not being correct, but there is nothing else for me to do, that i can atleast attempt to concentrate on.

i can accept rejection, i can accept being dumped (for a good reason) i can move on, im willing to accept all those things that could happen.

im not an idiot.

Look, the problem revolves around your mind, not your health. I dont know but it seems the health problems are a result of stress and as such you are in a circle

You need to break that, staying at home doing nothing allowing yoour mind to worry is not going to help matters whatsoever. You need to find something to DO! If not college or a job then go on a long bike ride each day or a walk or play a sport or reserch a intrest you have! With your mind taken off yoour health it will improve enough to allow you to get a job or better a college course and then you will notice your health improving more and your social life improving and you will be fine

Go out, and find something to take your mind OFF your worrys of course it will be hard but it will be worth it

sorry kronie but, as i said earlier in this thread, i have to agree with bifta here. if it was as easy as getting a girlfriend to stop your depression, it sounds as though you could snap out of it any time you wanted... yes you may want a relationship but in a way that is a tad selfish, because, as bifta says you have a lot of emotional baggage that will eventually become to much for the women to handle.

kronie, a women will really not solve your problems, in fact you need to get to the root problem and begin to come out the other side before you even consider having a relationship. i am not being cruel or heartless... to some extent i am talking from experience...... it could actually set you back further if the relationship were to break down.

i really think that you should get out and make new friends before you consider getting into a relationship. for your sake and the women's. if you don't feel that you can make friends with people you know already, then think about joining a social club of some kind, of do an evening class or something.

I always said I would never use a dating service and actually made fun of my friends for doing so. I was the one in the group who would always chat to the women and have a good laugh and joke with them, I never took it seriously because I wasn't looking. I got dumped, got in a rut and gave the dating service a go myself because I lost all confidence in using my social skills to communicate with women and generally thought there was no point, because I would not find a nice woman again.

I did meet someone who was very nice and it made me realise how bad the previous one had been. I think the odds are stacked very high against finding a nice person because of the sort of people those places generally attract.

Despite meeting someone nice, I would not reccomend dating sites. I was amazed at how many shallow women are around those places, a pub/club is a much better place. I just had to smile and look like I was enjoying myself even though I was not very happy inside, this made women talk to me and have a laugh. It boosted my confidence again but I guess it doesn't work for everyone.
